Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP)
MHIP PURPOSE
As part of a comprehensive response to Vermont’s housing affordability crisis, compounded by recent flooding, a Mobile Home Unit Task Team (MHU-TT) was assembled to oversee the Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP) to jumpstart and fast-track Mobile Home lot improvement and home placement within participating Mobile Home Parks to foster affordable homeownership.
MHIP ELIGIBILITY
- Income Eligible
- Homebuyer must be at or below 140% of the Area Median Income (AMI)

- Home buyer must provide their most recent tax return or other proof of income to VSHA
- Ability to Purchase a Home
- Buyer(s) must be able to purchase the home, which often requires employment, personal savings, and good credit
- Ability to finance a manufactured home unit within a park setting
- Pre-Qualification from a financial lender

- Primary Residence
- No second home or rental unit
- Vermont Resident
- Must attest to living or working in Vermont at time of application
- Park Owner Approval
- Homebuyer must be able to be accepted as a resident by the Park Owner
- Preference
- Flood-impacted households
- First come, first serve
